Acrylic Saturday with Steve Duprey

In his Saturday acrylic painting workshops throughout the year, Steve Duprey will lead his students, step-by-step over the course of three hours, through the process of creating a variety of landscape and still life paintings. Each student will receive close personal attention as they create the painting. Particular attention will be shown to creating the sense of light in each painting.

For ages 16 and up. Limited to 10 participants.

Still Life with Bernadette Bos

Saturday, May 9, 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Participants will be painting a still life from props that Bernadette will provide. Alternatively, participants may bring their own props, as long as they can be painted in one sitting. All necessary painting supplies will be provided.

For ages 21 and up. Limited to 15 participants.

Mothers’ Day Adult/Child Workshop with Camille Gruner

Sunday, May 10, 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Art can bridge the world between generations. One adult and one child will learn and create art together in guided instruction. Works of art will be created by both the child and the adult in a guided class exploring the topic.

For all ages. Limited to 10 Adult/Child pairs.

Introduction to Pinhole Photography with Harold Copp

Saturday, May 16, 12:30 to 3:30 pm

This one day workshop will give the participants the basic knowledge of pinhole cameras and analog photography. The participants will learn how to photograph and develop landscape and/or objects using the information provided in the workshop, while practicing safety standards set forth by the instructor. The students will learn basic techniques and processes in developing analog photographs.

For ages 18 and up. Limited to 10 participants.

Teabag Art with Anne Lahr

Saturday, May 23, 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Eleanor Roosevelt said “a woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she’s in hot water.” Like this little life lesson, teabags can also be the base for little art lessons. Participants can learn how to create little works of art on used and prepped teabags using mixed media, painting or collage.

For ages 8 and up (age 8 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Limited to 12 participants.

Neurographic Drawing: Florals and Meditation with Elizabeth Lincourt

Neurographic drawing involves drawing lines and shapes to connect with the subconscious mind, promote relaxation, and facilitate emotional processing. The process often involves smoothing out sharp angles and adding colors to create aesthetically pleasing and personally meaningful artwork.

For ages 15 and up. Limited to 10 participants.

Paper Coiling with Sarah Pendry

Saturday, June 20, 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Tailored for both adults and teens, this workshop will introduce participants to the art of coiling, guiding them through the process of creating beautiful and intricate designs using simple materials. The workshop will be designed to accommodate beginners, while also offering more advanced techniques for those who may already have some experience with paper crafting.

For ages 13 and up. Limited to 15 participants.

Urban Free Sketching with Paul Cook

In this free urban sketch workshop, participants will learn to combine waterproof ink and watercolor to capture city scenes in a friendly, three-hour session.
